New Works by Hugh Leeman at White Walls

Hugh Leeman’s wheat pastes can be seen throughout San Francisco: on billboards, street signs, buildings, and even on canvas. He focuses on people who live on the streets, mainly the Tenderloin District, and brings their rich stories and experiences to a wider audience—often highlighting the humanity in his subjects.

 

 

Because of his subject matter, his works inherently serve as social commentary, illuminating both societal injustice and human imperfection. Hugh has an upcoming show at White Walls Gallery in San Francisco opening this weekend, August 8th.
