Neil Farber "Slugging" at Edward Thorp Gallery NYC
Thursday April 28, 2011 |
![]() Winnipeg-based fine artist, Neil Farber, has a solo exhibition, Slugging, currently showing at Edward Thorp Gallery in NYC. We personally have been fans of Farber's work since he was a founding member of The Royal Art Lodge, an artist collective based in Winnipeg with Michael Dumontier and Marcel Dzama. Thorp Gallery notes, "At first glance, these works may appear naïve, almost childlike, but in Farber's world the distinctions between primitive fears and sophisticated desire are indistinguishable. It is out of this ambiguity that the work's dark humor is born inevitably reminding us of life’s absurdities." With the Royal Art Lodge, and then Farber's collaborative works with Michael Dumontier, he continues to progress and produce new ideas that makes each body of work stand-out from the last. We are currently working on a feature with Farber in an upcoming issue of Juxtapoz Magazine, and look forward to sharing that with you in the coming months. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Neil Farber Slugging Related Articles
