Museum of Drunken Art

If you think you’re seeing double, that’s the whole point!

You know how when you’re drunk you always seem to come up with the coolest ideas? Well, that’s exactly what Sam Crees and Peter Teraberry thought as well. Now the two are co-creators of MODA, Museum of Drunken Art in New York City.

Crees took some time to tell us about his wonderful drunken moment of enlightenment. “It basically started with a group of friends, who are also artists, hanging out in bars here in New York.  Inevitable as the nights would wear on, we would always start doodling on bar napkins, coasters, and whatever else was around. My co-curator, Peter Teraberry, and I started to collect the works and post them on our blog.  We started to get some attention and had our first real show of the work in Beacon, NY a few months back.  We currently have our second show up right now at Freddy’s Back Room.”

Who says getting wasted is a waste of time? From the look of MODA’s blog, it seems like being drunk may not be such a vice after all.
