Moon Babies: A One-Night Experimentation of Paper, Film x Sound
Friday August 27, 2010 |
![]() Who’s that slightly creepy looking baby up there you ask? A moon baby of course. Juxtapoz contributing writer Kirsten Incorvaia has organized a one-night show going off in San Francisco this evening.
Tonight, Friday, August 27, Moon Babies will take over Space Gallery. Incorvaia invited friends and artists she admires to contribute works on paper, experimental films, and vinyl spins for an uber funky, DIY environment.
Space Gallery will offer beer specials and Satans Helpers for garage rock, psych, punk, Prince, Rod Stewart, and other "rad shit."
The exhibiting Moon Babies include: Artists: Noah Charnow Vince Skelly Tierney Smith Billy Brandon Moore Carl Sturgess Dana Shaw Jamie Foster Jon Beyeler Matt Rome
Aren’t yet familiar with some of these guys? Not to fret. Incorvaia has detailed info on all participants right over here. This will be a great chance to meet some emerging artists in the SF area, as well as provide a great jumping off point for a Friday eve filled with art, friends, and maybe a little debauchery in the whispering ‘warm’ breezes of an SF summer night.
RSVP on Facebook now.
