Monday Musing: A Dash Snow Interview
Monday May 17, 2010 |
![]() When was the last time you cried? “Not very long ago to tell you the truth. Three nights ago, high on dope and then nodding out trying to go to sleep at like 5 in the morning and my girlfriend called me and found out I was nodding out and then dumped me. I’d say that’s a good reason to cry.” We take a peek at a classic Dash Snow as the one-year anniversary of his death approaches this summer. Like a Jean-Michel Basquiat or even Andy Warhol figure, there’s something about Dash Snow (July 27, 1981 - July 13, 2009) that makes it virtually impossible to look away once he starts speaking. Whether you love him or not, think his art speaks volumes of a generation or is overrated, it’s hard to deny the impact that Snow has had on youth culture in NYC and beyond.
Hear him speak in this excerpt from Daniel Joseph's You Doing You.
