We were chatting with artist and Juxtapoz contributing writer Kristin Farr the other night about the point of art. Ever positive, Kristin said she really just wanted to make people smile. Get ready to smile wide in a funny chat (and a couple videos) with concurrently exhibiting artists Kristin Farr and Porous Walker.

Kristin and Porous are goof balls. After Porous shared the above photo with us, we asked them to play a little game of who’s who in regards to their current exhibit at Fifty24SF Gallery, Haricots Magiques.

The game went as follows: I asked both Kristin and Porous to answer this question twice, once as themselves and once as the other person. “What is this show, and the artwork you've created for it, all about?”

Porous Walker: Well Katie, this is a show of art. Yes, the art was created for it. About? What? Duh, it’s all about doing it better than Kristin Farr.

Kristin Farr: That’s a very great question Katie. I am hesitant to answer the question, because whatever I say, Porous will have probably already said the same thing like 10 years ago. If you were to have a contest between Porous and Kristin, like an ass kicking contest, I would win that, but if we had a who has a fat stomach, bad teeth, partially stupid brain and extreme mouth breathing, Porous is the world champion.

Porous Walker: Despite my attempts to one-up Kristin Farr, she beats me every time. I went 14 hours without peeing while installing the show, but she could hold it for 15 hours. I ate my weight in magic beans at the opening, but then Kristin ate an entire deep-fried elephant. She looks fairly normal in size but that girl can put it down! She ate the tusks and everything; it was actually pretty disgusting. I have to keep my future plans under wraps or else she’ll steal my thunder AGAIN. She is a total jerk but she taught me everything I know. She started making crappy drawings long before I did.

Kristin Farr: This show was only the tip of the iceberg. Current and future collaborations between me and my protégé, Porous Walker, can best be described by the following dramatic documentation of our initial meeting back in 1950. He insulted my marksmanship and the rest is history:
