José Parlá (Juxtapoz #107) is a master of texture; his layered paintings bring to mind the time worn city streets from any city in the world. Parlá’s book CITYSCAPES consists of over 140 pages of the artist’s beautifully printed paintings and photos.

CITYSCAPES represents Parlá’s first artist monograph and was published on the occasion of his legendary show presented by Al Moran during Art Basel 2006.

 

Photography by David Perez Shadi, Stefan Ruiz, and Davi Russo along with essays by Manon Slome and Michael Betancourt.
