Aside from his day job as Art Director for the Cartoon Network's racy cartoon Adult Swim, Jacob Escobedo finds time to pursue his personal artistic passion creating work which combines organic elements with the psychedelic, recalling the complexity of Nineteenth Century etchings.
Jacob Escobedo grew up in Pioche, Nevada, a small desert town three hours North of Las Vegas, surrounded by his father's horded collections of oddities, old medical books, and encyclopedias. His childhood provided an amazing backdrop for creative experiments and interest in the outdoors.
He has shown in galleries in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Shanghai and has won numerous awards for his commercial design, including One Show and Communication Arts. This bat piece, Kerry, is one of our favorites and is also available as a print here. Check out more of Escobedo’s great work at hunteddown.com.
