Ginou Choueiri has made thousands of potato portraits of friends, family members, as well as strangers on the street.

This Lebanese artist is now living in Beirut and says of her work, “People and potatoes have a few things in common: both have porous skin which wrinkles with time, some skins are fair and smooth, others grow freckles, all eventually develop age spots, sprout hairy stuff, and we all come in different colors, shapes, and sizes.”  --Ginou Choueiri  profile, Juxtapoz #108
