Friday Fun: Lil Elvis and His Bad Hair
Friday August 06, 2010 |
![]() The King of Rock 'n' Roll lives on. Bob Scott has been working on a fun series of illustrations about a fictitious young boy named Lil Elvis and “his bad, but well intentioned, hair.” “The illustrations use elements of the real Elvis's life to create an 'imagined' childhood,” Scotts tells us in an email. “His 'bad hair' represents both his worldly protector and mischievous alter-ego.”
Bob Scott is now based in Richmond, Virginia after spending 8 years in NYC. Hi graphic illustrations have appeared all over, from editorial and advertising, to publishing, annual reports, posters, movie credits and television spots. With a focus on the current and an appreciation for the vintage, Bob stretches his creative legs in this new and personal series of Lil Elvis and his temperamental hair.
