Rebellion. The word itself is energizing, conjuring up images of angry youth pounding fists in the air, riding motorcycles, or err…painting. Yeah, really bad-ass painting and other forms of rebellious creative expression (we only condone non-violent forms of rebellion around here.)
Good thing the granddaddy’s of rebellion, Harley Davidson, will present a special one-night only show, The Art of Rebellion. With works by Shawn Barber, Christian Clayton, Rob Clayton, Bob Dob, Frank Kozik, Tara McPherson, Alex Pardee, Mark Dean Veca, Olver Vernon, David Trulli, and others rebellious souls.
This one-night only event is taking place on February 7th, 2009 at the Robert Berman Gallery at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica. Not only will proceeds be donated to Art Matters, but we’ve got our hands on one of the limited edition Shepard Fairey posters made especially for this exhibit. No, we’re not just bragging; we want to give Shepard’s poster away to you! We have one poster for a lucky winner and the first person to sign up for our mailing list will win a limited edition Harley Davidson poster by the legendary Shepard Fairey.
