Fashion Meets Health Care? Diane von Furstenberg Designs Hospital Gown
Wednesday September 08, 2010 |
![]() We don’t now anyone that likes hospital gowns. However, a lot of people love fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, so the Cleveland Clinic teamed up with the fashion icon to redo the classic medical gown. Von Furstenberg has been working with the Cleveland Clinic to redo the traditional hospital gown to be not only functional, but also attractive.
Select patients at the Clinic and its regional hospitals have already begun wearing a newly designed gown, which is based on her iconic wrap-dress. Intended to help patients stay comfortable while providing access to doctors and nurses, the new gown features elastic waistband, wrap-around closure and a wide V-neck. The gown comes with a signature Von Furstenberg element: a bold, graphic print that incorporates the Clinic’s logo.
With the ‘amazing’ health care we’re offered these days, people need all the bonus’ they can get while at the doctor.
