10 DAYS is a painting study of news headlines taken from the BBC News online between May 6-15th, 2009 by artist RIPO during a residency in Vienna. We love this video for reclaiming negative news headlines to create something beautiful.
“The painting involves a few different ideas: a study of hand painted lettering, the idea of taking digital information and turning it into something handmade, memory, and of course the news we're fed and how it's fed to us,” explains RIPO. “The process is really what this painting is about though so the best thing to do is just check out the video for yourself:”

The painting is acrylic on two wood panels, together measuring 234 x 170cm (about 92" x 67")
