Graphic artist Billy Argel will show off his seminal works in a show called B Side at Porto Alegre’s Galeria Fita Tape in Brazil. A talented designer, illustrator, and commercial designer, Argel’s show opens Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 7pm.

In his solo show at gallery Fita Tape, Billy Argel returns to the root of his trade designs, but this time subverts the language with has dominated the prints T-shirts, stickers and skateboards he’s worked on his entire acreer. Now, without promoting brand names, Argel will mix psychedelic and aggressive designs with lettering to express his apocalyptic vision of the world and, in some cases, simply for the pleasure of art.
