Alice Stevenson
Tuesday November 13, 2007 |
We're discovering a lot of new talent from the UK universities lately, and one such artist/illustrator is Alice Stevenson who's two years out from University of Brighton. Alice's painting resembles collage and cut paper work with her basic forms and black line work. And her muted color palette makes for work that would look just as good on your wall as it would in a gallery. There's something about her subject matter and composition that feels like Brighton to us, but there's also something about it that reminds us of the animated version of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, so you might want to judge for yourself.
