A Look at Buff Monster's 'Beyond the Pink'

Buff Monster’s candy-colored paintings may seem simplistic, but the clean lines and perfectly rendered, textured landscapes and even a few new portraits are anything but. Drawing upon art the Monster saw while in Europe, Beyond the Pink is an apt name for the artist’s new series.

Beyond the Pink sees larger and more complex pieces from this seasoned LA-based painter. Incorporating his classic ice cream cones and pink mountains, Buff Monster has clearly challenged himself to experiment with more challenging and layered landscape scenes and more detailed portraits. Buff Monster flexes his creative muscles and the result is truly enjoyable.

At this past weekend’s unveiling, the LA art scene came out in spades.

Beyond the Pink will remain on view through September 22nd at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles. We highly recommend checking this show out in person to view the detail.
