Joanna Fallon's gritty, colorful, and well-rendered illustrations of celebrities past and present caught our eye last week over on The Little Chimp Society's blog.
Joanna was born in Tokyo in 1984 and moved to England five years later. She graduated in 2006 from Bath Spa University with a First Class degree in Graphic Design/Illustration. She is currently based in Bristol with her boyfriend Rob, and pet goldfish, Chaka demus (her two favourite redheads).
Aside from illustration, she enjoys listening to old records, new CDs and being mildly obsessive about herbal tea...

The idea is simple and original: take the vibrant and often transient art form of Brazilian graffiti, out of its predominantly urban context and apply it to the ancient and permanent walls of an historic rural castle in Scotland.
As from the 10th May 2007 this site will be your portal to the development of THE GRAFFITI PROJECT at Kelburn Castle in Scotland. With daily photo and diary updates from the artists, OS GEMEOS, NINA and NUNCA, we invite you to watch this monumental work develop over 30 days. Check It out at www.thegraffitiproject.net
Number 31 is a new design studio in Holland. They work with artists from all over to produce original artwork for their limited-edition pillows (each has a unique number) made of 100% nylon with a PVC coat, plus a solid inside pocket. The pillows are washable and have a zipper, so you can put them over existing pillows. A portion of the pillow profits is donated to the #31 Foundation, which puts on events and other promotional gigs for the artists. They are currently looking for more artists to participate.
