Just wrapped up this painting in honor of my recently departed stepfather. A Lakota Indian, crows were a significant and spiritual part of his life. I had started this painting while he was still alive but during its process, my stepfather left and the painting began to take on a whole new life and meaning. The crow feathers were a last addition, originally they were to be butterflies.
