Sydney artist Ben Frost is most well known for his confronting and often controversial Pop Art paintings. Using a collage style of unlikely juxtapositions, his artworks are complex mash-ups of popular culture that poke fun at our media and advertising obsessed society. He enjoys playing with his punk band Danger of Death and spending time with his pet beagle 'Bowie'.

I sold one of my prints to a really great guy who is/was serving in Iraq.  He bought the print - titled 'Apocalypse Wow!' via stupidkrap! a while back - these are the photos he sent to me.
He told me how he had bought the print for his buddy who was a sniper and that he was into art and had saved him from a few hairy situations.  I haven't heard from him in a while, but I hope he made it back safely.
We had some trouble getting the print over to him, as you can't send packages directly to Camp Freedom.  It was returned to sender in the post, so we forwarded it to his family in the US, and they forwarded it on.
These images are definitely a highlight of my life. .

I just returned from a US trip, and managed to spend a week in Houston on my way back from NY visiting my girlfriend's family who live there now.  I've visited the US many times, but this was my first trip to Walmart.  Here are some delightful photos capturing my magical afternoon.

These ATM's take a little getting used to.

For $14.58 you may purchase 'My First Duplo Suburbia' - complete with enormous  flying snail and smiles painted on to all vaguely-human Lego heads.   Houses here are mostly facades and houses across the street have all been turned to colorful rubble.  WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD

I always wished I owned an SUV when I was 8.

I expect these were made by underpaid workers in some far-off land, subtley trying to say something.

This man kept following me thru the store.  At first I suspected he was an undercover cop, but soon realized he was just lonely.

This product would be far more unique if it were in the actual shape of a Tombstone.  Instead you may just eat this, die and have 'He ate too much frozen pizza' written across your grave.

The Star Trek FREE CAPTAIN'S TEE is also made with 100% REAL CHEESE.
Be careful wearing CAPTAIN'S REAL CHEESE TEE during summer and around mice.

All food should be served on the end of a stick.

Giants are supposed to grind human's bones to make their bread.

In the frozen food section I came across these two variations of ice-creams by Blue Bell.  I'm not exactly sure what kind of demographic the company was targeting but the red-haired boy on the left is seen again on the packaging for 'Ice-Cream Sandwiches' - but this time dressed as a little girl - complete with costume jewellery and bad make-up.

By now I was sure the old man was following me.  Evry time I looked over his way he pretended to be asleep.  I think he's dreaming of Pancakes and Sausage On A Stick.

I recently rented 'Honey Buns 2', and the buns in that film were covered in equally as much icing.

I haven't seen this adult film, but it looks HOT.

My tattoos only really make any sense when I'm checking out of Walmart.

And so my trip to Walmart was over.
I could easily have spent a few more hours in there going up and down the aisles comparing the subtleties between the ice cream packages, breakfast cereal boxes and Hannah Montana move tie-in products.  Supermarkets are such magical worlds and Walmart is perhaps the most exciting.
Australia doesn't have any stores quite as big as this, but we have similar colorful mausoleums.
It's  fascinating to observe how all of these ingenious and farcical products are being made en-masse as the world is burning around us.  It's like a grand comedic tragedy, that the result of the evolution of hundreds of years of western culture are football-field sized complexes, that house a seemingly endless supply of useless items, each with its own maniacally smiling cartoon character mascot emblazened across each package.
It is for this holy gound - Walmart - that wars are being fought in foreign countries, so that we may preserve the 'freedom' to choose between the 'Tickle-Me Elmo' or 'Nerf brand Super Shooter' for our children's Xmas present.
