Menininha sticker in San Francisco
Saturday July 25, 2009
Yesterday I received this awesome package from goccoboom, a couple (Nicole and Jason) from San Francisco, U.S. It was a reply to package I've sent few weeks ago, with some of my stickers. They make little prints with a japanese Gocco printer (now, discontinued), and they've sent me one of them. Check they etsy website for more images. Their stickers are great too, but I didn't take a picture yet.

I have this character, called "little girl" (how clever!), or "menininha" in Portuguese, and as I really call her.

(2 collor version, for a silkscreen bag)

I make stickers of her, and each sticker gets really different and cooler than the original drawing. My neighborhood is all covered by "menininhas" and now Goccoboom putted one at the back of a fire alarm post in the Hayes Valley neighborhood, in San Francisco. They say it's on "415 Octavia St" on the same block that an "amazing" candy store, called Miette (bellow). They also sent me a printed picture of the place, and I loved it! Check it out.

I decided to be old school and not email them, so I wrote a long letter and I'm making another nice package to send them. But maybe they find this post..
