Today I went to my friends Damn Laser Vampires gig. It was insane as usual. But, this time the show was at a train station. The funny thing is that they always play a song called Demolicion, from LOS SAICOS, a band from Peru in the early 60's. People say that this song was the first "punk song" ever made. And it talks about destroying a train station. It was crazy to see all that passengers going home while a bunch of insane youngsters were screaming "demolir, demolir!"

At the end of the gig I met my friend Joao Pedro, who's the organizer of Fantaspoa, a fantastic movie festival. This festival started in 2005, showing 15 movies and now, on the 5th edition, it's showing more than 200. I'm a huge horror and sci-fi movies fan, so I follow their work since the beginning.

Joao was with David Blyth, a director from New Zealand, who came to Brazil to show 4 of his works: Angel Mine, Death Warmed Up, Bound For Pleasure and Transfigured Nights. I already watched Bound for Pleasure, a documentary about Bondage, and Transfigured Nights, a creepy documentary about people who use masks and strange outfit to chat trough the internet, all recorded by webcams. Blyth and I chatted a bit, because I have to interview him for Void Magazine, and he gave me a copy of Death Warmed Up, the first horror movie made in New Zealand ever, even before Peter Jackson. I was supposed to watch it today, but since it's kinda late, I'll try to watch at least the short documentary about David, included on the DVD extras.

Now I'm trying to get some pictures from the train station madness and I'll hopefully post it soon.

I found it. Unfortunatelly, they don't show the craziest parts. Enjoy the Vampires!
