Martin Biemans is a 20 year old illustrator and digital artist from the Netherlands. As a younger artist, Biemans wanted to be a professional chef, but his passion rapidly changed to art once he stumbled into the world of illustration, and he never looked back. Biemans currently works as a full-time freelancer and has created work for the likes of Photoshop, Hard Rock Cafe and Pepsi.

We have shown some stunning underwater photography on the site before, but these delicately, darkly staged works by Tomohide Ikeya are some of the most bizarre and wonderful we have seen to date. The Japanese photographer has turned the her hobby of scuba diving into a conceptual body of work.

Lucy McLauchlan: New Murals in the Azores

In the Azores? On the Azores? On the Azores Islands? In the Azores volcanic island chain? We are struggling with this at the moment. Regardless, we began this post to show what UK-based Lucy McLauchlan created while in the Azores this past July for the Walk & Talk Azores festival. Her work, as you can see, fit seamlessly amongst the aged buildings and narrow streets.

Last month, Juxtapoz had the fortunate opportunity to attended Wall therapy in Rochester, NY. We can’t help but smile when reminiscing over our experience there and all the wonderful people we met. The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

When we posted Patricia Pacinini's giant "Skywhale" hot air balloon we got to thinking about possible custom balloons and wondered why someone hadn't made an "Up" balloon yet. It turns out, someone has! The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is in its 35th year and over four days more than 150 hot air baloons floated across the city.

The Work of Heeseop Yoon

Heeseop Yoon begins her process by photographing jumped and cluttered workspaces, basements, and storage spaces "where everything is jumbled and time becomes ambiguous without the presence of people." From those photographs Yoon constructs and beings to draw freehand without erasing, correcting mistakes with double or multiple lines, which "reflect how my perception has changed over time."

"Free 4 All Walls" in Windsor, Canada is a project aimed at utilizing vacant space in Windsor for large-scale murals and art installations, transforming previously unused space into more vibrant and engaging environments. Artists involved in this ongoing project include Nychos, Bask, Ben Frost, Denial, Omen, Elicser, Xray, Buff Monster, High 5, Persue, Nekoes, Above, and several others yet to be confirmed. Living Walls - Part 4

As we reflect on the eventful week spent in Atlanta for the fourth edition of Living Walls, exhaustion kicks in. On our final two days we were able to see all the walls come to completion, which included the finishing of 3ttman, Nanook, Trek Mathews, and Roti’s walls. We attended a lecture series that took place on the 27th floor at the top of W Hotel that featured speakers and an artist panel all centered around urbanism and the use of public space. On the final day the main focus quickly shifted to getting the closing party ready that was to be held at the Goat Farm...
