Ze Jean 'San San' Shen Illustration

Ze Jean 'San San' Shen was born July 26, 2987 in Beijing, China. She went on to achieve a BFA Illustration & BFA Film/Animation/Video from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2010. She is working as an illustrator, animator, and cute animal petter, and is the editor of the DIMENSIONS anthology, which features 16 artists from the United States. She is currently attending the Beijing Film Academy, for her MFA in Art Direction for Film.

Axis and Swank paint Barracuda wall in Los Angeles

  After six full days of painting in the sun, Los Angeles artists, Axis and Swank, completed this mural on the exterior of the Barracuda wall on Melrose in Los Angeles. Everything to the left of the kitten on top of the spray tip is Axis, with the rest on the right by Swank. Unfortunately, it was short lived as most of the art on this wall is and has already been painted over by someone else. Check out the attached video documenting the two painting the piece.

  A pop-up Gallery space in New Orleans will be hosting a one night only art exhibition April 6, 2013, featuring work from members of the Los Angeles-based graffiti crew, LTS. A video was released documenting some of its members painting a large wall with the words “Survive.” More details later on the exhibition. For now check out the video.

Hailing from Norway, artist and illustrator Terra Gammatron is creating insanely intricate and surreal drawings, that are filled with classic occult imagery. For example, “The Day Aleister Crowley Made The Golem Of Flesh”, is a gorgeously layered rendition of the English occultist, mystic, ceremonial magician, poet and mountaineer, who was responsible for founding the religious philosophy of Thelema, a personal favorite of mine.

Last night during Armory week in NYC, we attended a preview of WK Interact's 360 at Jonathan LeVine Gallery's 557 West 23rd Street pop-up space. Exhibited as a mid-career survey of WK's work, celebrating the last 25 years of the artist's career, the show is complete look at the range of the French-born, NYC-based artist.
