Sand Castles by Calvin Seibert

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, November 27, 2012
We have been waiting to see work like this for quite some time, not that we don't love a detailed sand sculpture of the Simpsons. We just wanted to see something simple, geometric, and patterned from someone on the beach, and Calvin Seibert has such a clean approach, we can't believe he gets this completed so close to a danger zone. The danger being a wave that feels like extending itself just a tad further.

The Bridge House by ObjecktCreative Design Studio

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, November 27, 2012
Over the past few weeks, we have seen a bunch of architecture projects that have really caught our eye, and we just found our future home this morning. A new design from the studio ObjecktCreative, The Bridge House, featuring three cubes placed accordingly over a creek. You get nice views from every angle, and you can easily cross over the water at any time by going into your living room.

Danny Heller Paints Midcentury Architecture Now

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, November 27, 2012
Danny Heller's paintings take a central focus on midcentury architectural design, often working directly from photographs of these beautiful yet stripped down homes in palm fringed landscapes like Palm Springs  where the peak of the  1960s spacious and minimalist approach remains in full glory. Heller's works themselves are impeccably painted quite easily described as photo-realistic.

Burned Over by Amelia Bauer

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, November 27, 2012
With nature setting the scene, photographer Amelia Bauer creates fantastic light effects that make the forest appear as if on fire from an extraterrestrial source. Ethereal, ghostly, but somehow alive and warm, the Santa Fe born, Brooklyn-based photographer has shown throughout the US. Today, we look at her Burned Over series.

Alexa Meade and Sheila Vand's "Milk: what will you make of me?"

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, November 27, 2012
A collaboration of body painter extraordinaire Alexa Meade and performance artist Sheila Vand, involving the before-mentioned body painting work before Vand lies in a pool of milk. Both in still and video images, this is a particularly interesting collaboration, where the subject comes to life in a fluid "still-life." If that doesn't make sense, click after the jump, and see the video.

ARYZ @ Meeting of Styles, Buenos Aires

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, November 27, 2012
Here are a few shots of Aryz-in-progress painting in Argentina for the Meeting of Styles 2012 Festival. The Spanish artist is painting a mural in Buenos Aires, one of the highlights during the second edition of the International Festival. Something tells us ARYZ would tell us to hold off until he was done, but there is always merit in seeing how is in completing a piece. Stayed tuned for more information in the coming weeks of our very special collaboration with ARYZ.
