Gaia is a Brooklyn and Baltimore based street artist with a background in Printmaking and Sculpture. Marrying the animal and the human form, Gaia conjures mysterious figures that carry a heavy sense of mythology and recall a past when man and nature were once united. These romantic creatures stand in relief to the urban environment as they lurk and beckon in the city’s forgotten and neglected spaces. The conveyance of their story relies on the chance coincidence with a passerby, and even in that intimate moment, their narrative is precarious and delicate. Gaiastreetart.com

Varied Edition of 9. Bast created this beauty on a recent trip to France.  Shacked up above a wig shop in Paris, he was able to nab a couple ideas from the window displays he walked past daily.
This varied edition (the eye shadow differs between the prints) is printed on a thick paper stock slathered in a creamy white paint.

Hand Painted Screenprint on Lenox 100 Paper.

Anthony Sneed, who I had the pleasure of coinciding with a few times when I was down south for Miami Art Basel, finally shot me some photos some recent work. Its hilarious nature and simultaneous obscenity, under the guise of the nostalgic pixelation, is what makes the work so disturbing. Admittedly, I was a late bloomer to video games, with my first platform being the late N64, but I can definitely get down on some supernintendo.
