To continue showcasing Boston based artists here on the Jux blog, I thought I'd set you guys up with some pics of Kenji Nakayama's work. I first saw Kenji's work on a door (seen above) here in Boston. It was a city scene, that looked from a far as if it were a painting, but up close I realized it was a stencil...I was kind of floored. Let me tell you, the street scene in Boston is LIMITED because things get buffed so quickly, so I was kind of exhilarated to see Kenji's work just hanging out right there on Mass ave. It's great to  know Kenji's work is vibrant and alive in the Boston scene.

You can see more of Kenji's work on his flickr page.

Collaboration (above) with Dana Woulfe.

yes, this dude is the truth, we've shown in a couple of shows together here in NYC, I was amazed at his detail & subject matter, not so much as a graff writer, but as an artist with a sweet technique!
we are in a international group show right now at the Abrons Art Center in the lower east side called "Urban Slang 2009" curated by Lois Stavsky & Meres (5 pointz). there are a grip of street artists of high calibre, native, cernYMI, Bishop, Christian cortes, myself (spazecraft one/sohnup.com) & others from Mexico, South America, Europe, east n west coasts etc. up till middle of August, see it & you will be happy you did! big up to Kenji for the plug!

Kenji stencils are fun to do and very very amazing when it all works out at the end. As you showed to us right now stencil art is one of the most popular things today.

where was / is this on mass. ave? I found one of kngee's cards tucked behind a poster on a T subway about a year ago and have been following him from time to time since. i happen to very much dig street art and in particular, stencil graffiti, and this find could not have been sweeter. would love to see something in person, the one above on mass ave looks amazing.

thanks.
