Miss Derringer & Girl in a Coma US tour

HI !!
My band  Miss Derringer  is on tour with Girl in a Coma, who are awesome!!! 3 girls from San Antonio Texas who can really shake up a crowd! if you have a minuet check them out! They rock!!!

(Miss D & GIAC back stage at the House of Blues in Dallas)

We've been on tour for 40 days now-so far we've played in 36 different cities and in each one I've met some amazing artists!! I finished two seasons of the wire, watched Windy City Heat more times then i could count, somehow got hooked on VampiresLive, and found that if you are dining at a truck stop allot of truckers really like it if you play Ghost Busters on the juke box!

bullet casings in Wyoming are known as Wyoming cigarette butts

Motel 6's are sketchy all over the country

(Moragn about to get tattoed by me!)
but I guess letting everyone tattoo you in a motel 6, especially someone who asks where the lever that lets the ink out is, is pretty sketchy too!

We started the tour in Texas and while in Austin i was super lucky to do a shoot with Darla Tea Garden-  ive always admired her work!!

Steevie aka Darla preping the shot!
she made this dress out of candy wrappers! and the guitar was made by the owner of  BIG TOP CANDY SHOP

the Sailor oufit was made by Aileen Duke

In Houston we met up with Jennifer Chen who makes super cute jewelry and we got a day off in New Orleans where we made a wish and drew some x's on the grave of Voo Doo queen Marie Laveau

some of the sights on Bourbon street New Orleans

In Charlotte, North Carolina we met the owner of Ace Custom Tattoo  - Rodney Raines and lovely Lise,  who have an amazing art gallery in the works ! He's also in a band the Poontanglers

 (love the Poontanglers sticker )

in New York i met the very talented sculptor Reina Brill, and hung out with famed art collector Ron Dominguez, all i can say about that blurry night is you will not get away with pushing Ron D!!!

(graffitti backstage at the Iron Horse in North Hampton Massachusetts-  i dont know why i like it but i do!)

I cant say enough about Detroit (though we played nearby in Pontiac), they have such an amazing art scene that doesnt nearly get the attention it deserves! We met up with
Audrey Pongracz, Aileen Snyder ,  tattoo artiost Sam Wolf-  & Mark Nischan  to name a few

The same can be said for Philly, where I was lucky enough to receive this  awesome necklace by artist JL schnabel-

and an awesome poster by Tim O'Hanlon  and of course we met up with the infamous Philly favorite Adam Wallacavage!!!  whose work never ceases to amaze!! - and just by chance one of my fav artists happened to be in town too Dan Quintana

pic of Dans amazing work!!!

The good people at Rivet Gallery  in Columbus Ohio even set up a last minuet book signing for me! ( thanks guys!)

me and the very talented artist Dan Elson who just had a super sucessfull show at La Luz

Indianapolis is always a good time! so many great and talented people out there-we hung out with the Constants check them out they have a great sound!!!!

and Greg the  Mayor of Indianapolis took some shots of us -

(Ben & Sylvain shot by the Mayor)

We played Summerfest in Milwaukee the biggest music festival in the world!

We played the 80/35 festival in Des moines Iowa and after our set made some new friends

(Sylvain with the Snowman)

(out side the door of a Dennys in Omaha Nebraska, does this mean that in resteraunts without this sticker everyone is packing?)

in Casper Wyoming we played at the American Legion Hall

(our lovely dancer and merch girl  Ricci Pettite in front of a mural in the hall )

Denver has a big art scene- we played at the Three Kings which even had a gallery right below it- and it was right next to Think Tank Tattoo!
J8K gave me this painting that he created while we played!

(thanks J8KK!!)
I met a bunch of artists in Denver- Douglas Seaton - the good folks of Boxcar-Gallery  , Jesse Frazer-  and the  artist collective "Throwing knives"  Jerko the clown made me a balloon dog!! thanks Jerko!!

Thanks for coming to Atlanta

Thanks for coming to Atlanta. . By surprise I found that Miss Derringer transported me into the surreal world of something eery, melancholy and sexy.... I felt like I was a character in a David Lynch film. Everything about the show was incredible. There were so many layers of artistry from the costumes/makeup to the dancing to the lyrics to the entire band that made it such a 'vacation' from the real world. Please come back to Atlanta soon!!!!
