The RONIN.GALLERY is glad to be bring Mikal back to cali for this amazing show! For his first show in Los Angeles, this breakthrough artist has created a collection of original large-scale sound sculptures and mixed media sound paintings. Join us on NOV 13th for a night fun art sounds friends and an interactive audio experience!

Attendees are encouraged to bring their iPods, iPhones and other type of MP3 players in order to get the full experience of his work.

 About the artist

Mikal Hameed  aka M11X is one of those guys who know what it is to see a world that is ignorant and unaware of the dangers of not utilizing what is already available. he uses discarded office chairs and stereo equipment in order to create some really amazing sound system that not just tree huggers would appreciate but just about anybody with a brain would His workshop resembles that of an artist’s and you can’t help but wonder how anyone could transform rubbish into such amazing pieces of audio equipment. There is something magical about his speakers and especially when you know where these speakers are coming from, you would not have the option of ignoring them as junk. If only other designers took notice of guys like Mikal Hameed, one could turn every bit of trash into something useful. In fact, people must endorse and encourage people like Mikal as that would allow them to not only to appreciate what is assumed to be trash, but also convert that trash into something useful.

About the gallery

Ronin literally means drifting person… and with the drifting spirit of an artist RONIN.GALLERY was established in early 2009. Our vision is to house talented, fresh artist and give them a place to wander creatively. our goal is to expose as many people to new and unique artist and to give them access to their work. Hopefully this will in turn help the artist continue creating and sharing their vision with us. We see these ronin with no masters lead their own life as an outcast with the knowledge of their trade… and we embrace it!
