Birthdays are just regular days that you try to force out a bunch of fun. Luckily, Michael Sieben and Nathan Green (from Austin, TX.) happen to come into town for an art show they were a part of, and stayed with us for the week.
For my birthday dinner, we went to the Red Lion, a 50 year old German restaurant in Silverlake. Wow, what the hell is that doing in my mug of Pea Soup?
I dragged them on a busy Sat. afternoon to the Observatoy in Griffith Park. It was crowded, but it's a sweet spot to see the sprawling city of LA.

Saturday night was the opening of Weekend Pacifists at Subliminal Projects.
the artists in the show are:
Sieben painted a bunch of boxes that were building up in his garage. I really love these guys-

Chris Pastras reminding us of an important message-

Collaboration between Michael Sieben and Nathan Green-

The great Andy Jenkin's work-

Travis and Mike like to dress the same, and they kind of like to draw together too...with the guy on the right, Mike Aho

The next day we headed to El Matador. My favorite spot whenever there is the urge to hit the coast.

The hear the locals call El Matador....

We came home and found this guy on the porch. Thanks for the great birthday Mike, Allison, Nathan, Aho, and Fudge.
